Activities & Amenities
We want to make sure your stay in Humboldt County is enjoyable. We are located in a unique location of rural America, within half a day's drive of major cities. Humboldt County is famous for many things, including its Redwood trees, six rivers, and the largest collection of Victorian Homes and historic buildings in one town. These spectacular buildings include the Carson Mansion, the most photographed house in the world.
We are a highly cultured community with more artists per capita than any other city in the US. Arts Alive, the first Saturday of every month, in downtown Eureka, features many of these artists. Foodies will enjoy the many options of fine food available in the area. Many establishments serve locally grown and organic foods. The inn is just seven blocks from Trip Advisor's number one rated restaurant in Eureka. This area is home to highly recognized microbreweries that include Lost Coast, Mad River, Eel River, Six Rivers, and Redwood Curtain. There are even a few worthy wineries in the eastern portion of the county.

Eco-tourism is abundant. We have amazing beaches and tide pools, the largest bay north of San Francisco. This also includes State and National Parks that represent most of the land in Humboldt County. An area to the north is home to the largest elk heard wandering wild. Biking and hiking the back roads of Humboldt County is always a rewarding venture. We will be glad to offer guides, suggestions, and brochures when you arrive.
